Patsy Ragan

Patsy Ragan Patsy Caroline Ragan, 74, of Tulsa passed away on Sunday, October 11th, 2015. Patsy was born in Mitchell, Oregon, a daughter to the late Robert Ragan and Lois Williams. Patsy obtained her nursing degree at College of the Redwoods in Northern California. She then worked as an LPN Nurse for 39 years at various hospitals and nursing homes in California, Washington, Arizona, and Oklahoma. She retired in 2011 at the age of 71, in Okmulgee, OK and then moved to Tulsa, OK to be closer to her family. Patsy was very family oriented and a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed spending time with her children, attending the events of her grandchildren, and even though her brother lives out of states they still shared a close bond. Patsy had a wonderful sense of humor, even to the end she joked and made others laugh. She was loved by all who knew her. Patsy enjoyed going to the movies, reading, traveling, going out to lunch, going for walks, visiting with family, the ocean, and fashion. She was best described as strong, independent, witty, smart, down to earth, giving, hardworking, funny, loving, dependable and beautiful. She was also well known for her other love, which were sweets. In fact, she loved them so much she would request that her family only buy her “goodies” for special occasions. Along with her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by her brother’s, Donnie Ragan and Bobby Ragan, niece Mattie Jane Ragan, and sister-in-law Dee Dee Ragan. She is survived by, brother, James Ragan, of Bluff Dale, TX; daughter, Linda Anderson, of Tulsa, OK; sons, Mike Anderson and William Anderson, both of Tulsa, OK; three granddaughters, Alisha Ertugrul and husband Ty, of Tulsa, OK; Angela Ertugrul and husband Tolga, of Tulsa, OK; and Ashley Hemphill, of Okmulgee, OK; three great-grandchildren, Aspen, Holden, and Averie Ertugrul, all of Tulsa, OK; nephew, Jim Ragan, of Tulsa, OK; nephew, Kenneth Ragan and wife, of California; niece, Donna Yanez and husband, of California; niece, Laurie Haiar and husband, of Nebraska; nieces Connie and Mary Lynn Ragan, along with a host of great nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. A memorial service to honor the life of Patsy Ragan will take place at a later date.
