Luke Jaquins Momodu

Luke Jacquins Momodu, affectionately known as “Quincy,” lived a life defined by hard work, determination, and a deep love for family. His life journey stands as a testament to perseverance, passion, and an unwavering commitment to providing for those he loved. Quincy was born on March 26, 1956, in Irrua Town, Nigeria, to Prince Jolly and Princess Queen Ighogboya Momodu. He was the firstborn of their union and the eldest of nine children. Raised in a close-knit and supportive family, Quincy developed strong values that guided him throughout his life. He received his early education in Nigeria, attending school through his senior year of high school. In 1974, Quincy graduated from high school and was awarded a scholarship to Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology, marking a significant milestone in his academic and professional journey. While attending Spartan College, Quincy worked at Roberson Tire Company, where he gained valuable experience in business and entrepreneurship. His strong work ethic and vision for the future led him to begin purchasing vehicles, eventually becoming the owner of Rita’s and My Cab Fleet Company. Through this venture, Quincy demonstrated resilience, ambition, and a determination to build something lasting. Quincy was a devoted father who took great pride in his children. From his first union, he was blessed with three children: Adesua, Luke, and Azenabor who attended school in London. His love for his first set of children was evident in his dedication to their education, guidance, and overall well-being. For more than a decade, Quincy worked in the cab business, building a legacy rooted in hard work, independence, and perseverance. In 1994, Quincy met the love of his life, Christal, whom he married and celebrated 31 years together. From this union, he was blessed with four children: Quintre',Omonigho, Ahmad, and Novem. Quincy was a devoted husband and father who worked tirelessly to provide his family with a life filled with stability, care, and love. Together, Quincy and Christal were known for owning and operating the prosperous nightclubs, Infinity and Calabash. In addition to his entrepreneurial pursuits, Quincy also maintained a full-time career at OGI and Arcosa Wind Towers. He demonstrated his strong work ethic, resilience, and dedication to providing for his family. Quincy passed away on January 9, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, Prince Jolly and Princess Queen Ighogboya Momodu, and his sister, Carolyn Momodu. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Christal; his children: Adesua (Tulsa); Luke (Jamisa) of Tulsa; Azenabor (Tulsa); Quintre’ (Lindsay) of Tulsa; Omonigho; Ahmad; and Novem all of Tulsa; his grandchildren, Margo, Andre, and Josiah of Tulsa; his great-grandson Prince; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. Quincy’s legacy of strength, dedication, and love will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
