Linda Robinson

Linda Reed Robinson was born June 19, 1933, in Stilwell, OK, to Helen Godfrey Reed and Lawton Aubrey Reed. She graduated from Stilwell High school in 1951 and attended Oklahoma A&M (now OSU). She married the love of her life, Don Edward Robinson, on August 23, 1953. She worked as a secretary for the Sinclair Oil Co. while Don was in dental school. In June 1957, Don and Linda moved to Sand Springs, started a dental practice, and proceeded to raise their “four D’s” : Don Jr., Donna, Dana, and David. Linda had a deep love for music and a gift for singing. Her solos in choir at the First Christian Church in Sand Springs will long be fondly remembered. Linda did her best to pass on her love of music to her children. Linda deeply loved and cared about people. She demonstrated that love not only with words, but with actions. Linda enjoyed Christian Women’s Fellowship, Mother’s club, and Women’s Chamber. She served as chaplain for DAR for many years. Linda worked as Don’s Dental assistant from 1971 to the close of the office. Side by side they made a great team. They enjoyed having Bible Studies and the Upper Room Fellowship in their home. Linda adored her husband, who always said she was an angel and the dearest woman who ever lived. She loved and cherished the moments with her four children and eight grandchildren. Being a wife, mother, and grandmother was Linda’s dream come true. Memorial Service will be Friday, January 9, 2015 at Hillspring Church, 8801 W. 41st St at 11:00 a. m. She is survived by her four children: Don E. Robinson Jr., MD –San Antonio, TX, Donna L. (Robinson) Perdue –Sand Springs, OK, Dana L (Robinson) Wood, -Sand Springs, OK, and David L. Robinson, DDS –Boulder, CO, presently stationed in Aviano, Italy with the US Air Force. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren: Danielle L. Wood –Silverthorne, CO, Benjamin C. Wood- Sand Springs, OK, R. Asher Wood –Sand Springs, OK, Lindy A. (Wood) Goodin –Monterey, CA, Dessa E. Perdue, S. Jesse Perdue, Jayssel R. Perdue, and Melissa L. Perdue, all of Sand Springs.
