Linda Sue Allison, age 78, of Barnsdall, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026, at Journey Home in Bartlesville. Linda was born on January 19, 1948, in Atlanta, Texas, to Isaac "I.T." Thomas and Marie Thomas. In 1964, she moved from Texas to Oklahoma, where she would build a life centered around faith, family, and service to others. On September 6, 1966, she married Arthur Allison. Together they shared nearly 60 years of marriage and built a family that became the center of Linda's world. Linda worked as a cook for Barnsdall Public Schools and later at Woolaroc, where she was known for her hard work and caring spirit. She attended First Baptist Church of Barnsdall and found joy in serving others throughout her life. She had a passion for sewing, gardening, and cooking for those she loved. Linda rarely showed up empty-handed, often delivering pies, cakes, and homemade treats to family, friends, and anyone in need of encouragement. Her compassionate heart and generous spirit touched countless lives. She found great happiness in caring for others and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac "I.T." and Marie Thomas; and her brothers, Kenny Thomas, Ronnie Thomas, David Thomas, and Jerry Thomas. She is survived by her husband, Arthur Allison; her sons, Lloyd Allison and wife Annette, and James Allison and wife Faith; her grandchildren, Jeremy Allison, Ricky Allison, Rusty Allison, James Allison, Michala Auschwitz, and Joshua Allison; and her great-grandchildren, Aleiah Allison, Aubrie Allison, Strayson Allison, and Theodore Auschwitz. She is also survived by her siblings, Janet Jones, Randal Thomas, Debra Givens, Mike Thomas, Carl Thomas, and Rena Scafella; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Linda's legacy lives on through the family she cherished, the meals she lovingly prepared, the gardens she nurtured, and the many acts of kindness she shared throughout her life. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Funeral service information - Celebration of life Service will be Friday, July 10th at 2:00 at the Barnsdall First Baptist Church Family lunch at 12:00
