Farrell Don Kelton Farrell Don Kelton, age 58, of Oologah, Oklahoma, born October 15th, 1957 in Fort Smith, Arkansas and earned his heavenly wings on November 27, 2015, flying beyond the stars’ twilight and into the Kingdom of Heaven. Farrell was the son of Ralph O. Kelton and Emma R. Daugherty formerly of Van Buren, Arkansas. Farrell was preceded in death by his high school sweetheart, his wife of 40 years, Bobbie Jo Kelton; maternal grandparents, Violet and Earl Hyatt and James and Ira Chatman; and paternal grandparents, W.C. and Flora Reta Kelton, and favorite uncle and best friend, Kenneth Chatman. Farrell is survived by two sons; Gary Don Kelton and wife Jennifer with their children, Devon and Michael, of Claremore, Oklahoma, Randy Wayne Kelton and wife Kara of Virginia Beach, Virginia, father, Richard Daugherty of Greenwood, Arkansas, brother, John Kelton and wife Sherry of Alma, Arkansas, 4 sisters; Darla Theresa Llamas and husband Anthony of the Seattle, Washington, Melissa Ray and husband Michael of Lavaca, Arkansas, Tina Barnes and husband Dwayne, and Gina Shores and husband Jose Ramon of Greenwood, Arkansas, and 3 step-sisters; Meredith (Daugherty) Hartsock and Moria (Daugherty) Bryant (Lynn) both of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Megan (Daugherty) Stratton (Bruce) of Fort Mohave, Arizona. Farrell is also survived by many friends, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. Farrell, was owner/operator of his own construction company, Kelton Construction, Inc. as a master carpenter. He loved his trade, being a craftsman, and he also loved fishing, spending many days on Lake Oologah with his friends and family. Farrell was an amazing man who put his family and friends before himself. He was a loving, loyal, and devoted man who will be missed greatly. “He never looked for praises; He was never one to boast He just went on quietly working for the one’s he loved most. His dreams were seldom spoken, His wants were very few, And most of the time his worries went unspoken too. He was there, A firm foundation through all of our storms of life, A sturdy hand to hold onto in times of stress and strife. A true friend we could turn to when times were good or bad, One of our greatest blessings, Is the man we called Dad.” Memorial services will be held December 5th, 10:00am, at Rejoice Church, 13413 East 106th Street North, Owasso, Ok, 74055. In lieu of flowers, we ask you instead make a charitable contribution to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or plant a tree in Farrell’s honor as he was an avid believer of taking care of the earth and making it more beautiful for the next generation.
