Doyle Randall Halcomb

Doyle Randall Halcomb, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on February 17, 1949, in Altus, Oklahoma, Doyle lived a life full of love, hard work, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. Doyle was the son of John Edward "Ned" Halcomb, Ed and Ruth "Norene" McKay, who preceded him in death. Ed and Norene were pivotal in shaping his strong work ethic and the enduring values that guided his life. He received his education at Sunnymead Elementary, Alessandro Middle School, and Mareno Valley High School in Sunnymead, California. His formative years shaped the man he would become, as he took on various challenges and opportunities that life presented to him. A skilled craftsman, Doyle specialized in framing and roofing and spent many years mastering the many phases of construction. His dedication to his work was matched only by his love for his family. Randy and his first wife, Charlotte Ann Addy-Halcomb were married from 1969 to 1999. And on July 5, 2000, he married Linda K. Halcomb and were happily together until his death. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, love, and support. Doyle took great pride in becoming a husband, a father to his children—Randall "Deano" Halcomb, Carrie Halcomb, Jamie Mowery, and Mick Stone—and a doting grandfather to his ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. His family was his greatest joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them. He said often, “Though he had so many things he regretted in his life, having his children was the one thing he was most proud of.” In addition to his work and family commitments, Doyle had a passion for fishing that spanned most of his life. Whether casting a line by the river or sharing tales of his adventures, he found peace and happiness in the great outdoors. When he wasn't fishing, he loved spending time at the bowling alley, enjoying friendly competition and camaraderie with friends and family. During Doyle's later years he was known for his warmth, gentle spirit, and unwavering kindness that touched the lives of many. He had a unique ability to make everyone feel valued and loved, and his laughter could light up any room. The family is greatly appreciative of the kindness and care provided by the staff at The Gardens Nursing Home in Sapulpa and Transitions LifeCare in Tulsa, who supported Doyle in his final days. Doyle Randall Halcomb leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and devotion to family. He will be deeply missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and countless friends. As we continue to celebrate his life, we remember the man who taught us the importance of love, resilience, and living life to the fullest. May he rest in peace, knowing he made a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
