Ashley Michelle Lyne Ashley was born October 10, 1984 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was the first born of Glen and Zelta Lyne. She would become the big sister of two brothers, Allen and Clinton. Ashley grew up in Tulsa, attending Tulsa Public Schools. There were many difficult times for Ashley but Ashley worked hard to overcome them. Ashley had a kind of wandering soul, moving often and listing any number of addresses as her home, and sometimes her home didn't have an address. Ashley seamed fearless, too often too fearless. She got into difficult situations and often refused help, after all, she always assured me that she was getting better and she could handle it. Ashley was born just 6 or 7 months before I was called as Pastor, and I was blessed to witness very nearly her entire life. Ashley was part of a large family surrounding her, supporting her, and most of all, loving her. She was blessed with loving and caring Grandparents, Parents, Brothers, Aunts, Uncles and many cousins. Ashley was struggling with recovery when she was invaded by the COVID-19 virus. In her compromised physical the virus hit her very hard. Once again Ashley found a way through the worst of it. She spend many days and nights hospitalized, and she finally came out the other side. Things were looking up for Ashley. She was recovering from her addictions and fighting hard to find her own peace. It seems like she was blessed with a few stable and quiet weeks before the scars of many battles all came together to take her. By the grace of God Ashley didn't have to, nor need to suffer, God granted her the rest and release that she longed for. Ashley passed quietly in her own bed. She often struggled to find a place to rest and God has provided a home for her, a home that is eternal, a place of peace and joy. Ashley was reunited with those who went before her to Heaven, her Grandparents, Hugh and Helen Stephens, and A.G. and Billye Lyne; her father Glen Lyne; her brother Allen and her Aunt Hulene. Ashley waits in Heaven for the final reunion. She is survived by her Mother, Zelta Stephens and husband Lonnie Adkins, and her Brother Clinton Lyne. Three nieces, Ava, Savanna, and Serica; nephew: Jay; two Aunts, Claudia and Don and Nedra and Kirk; her Uncle Mike and Laurie, and lots of cousins; Step-Mother, Melissa Lyne; half brother, Brent Line, and step brother Kyle Mosby. Ashley has lived the last two weeks in the presence of God. She is more alive than she has ever been. She lives enveloped in a holy peace. She lives surrounded by loved ones still celebrating her unexpected arrival on God's Heavenly shore. Memorial Service will be 11:00am Friday, June 25, 2021 at the Bellview Baptist Church, 1040 N. Yale, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74115.
