Mary Ogg Hoar, age 56 passed this life on March 27, 2022 in Tulsa, Oklahoma surrounded by love. She entered this world on November 17, 1965 in Topeka, Kansas and then welcomed into Manhattan, Kansas to her parents William Duerson Ogg and Rosella Ann (Hiebert) Ogg and a brother Joel Ogg. Mary loved playing softball, basketball, and volleyball. She was very athletic and loved playing many sports growing up and throughout her High School years. She was a very involved student and player. Mary attended Manhattan High School in Manhattan, Kansas. She also studied at MATC/ K-State in the business program. Mary worked in Manhattan after high school and then decided to move to Topeka, Kansas. Along with this move, she met the man that she would later fall in love with and welcome a child with. Mary met Darrin Hoar while working at American Investors and later married on November 28, 1998. On July 10, 2000 in Topeka, Kansas, Darrin and Mary welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world named Casandra Leigh Hoar. After 5 great years, the Hoar family made the move to Tulsa, Oklahoma. While being in Tulsa, Mary worked at HSBC and then started working at U.S. Cellular until she had fallen ill. Mary was always a fun individual. She had a great sense of humor and loved making others smile and laugh. She was always full of sarcasm and jokes. She was always there to help anyone and everyone that she could. Mary is preceded in death by her father William Duerson Ogg who passed this life in 1995. She is survived by her ex-husband and friend Darrin Hoar of Pryor, Oklahoma; daughter Casandra Hoar of Tulsa, Oklahoma; mother Rosella Ogg of Manhattan, Kansas; brother Joel Ogg of Tulsa, Oklahoma; along with many other family members, friends, and colleagues who will forever cherish her memory. There will be two Celebration of Life Services in honor of Mary Ogg Hoar; The Tulsa, Oklahoma Service will be held on Saturday, April 30th, 2022 from 12pm-2pm at the Yale Avenue Presbyterian Church located at 510 S Yale Ave., Tulsa, Oklahoma 74112. The Manhattan, Kansas Service will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the First Baptist Church located at 2121 Blue Hills Rd Manhattan, Kansas 66502.
