Lloyd Jenkins Jr better known as "LJ" to all who knew him was born to Lloyd Jenkins Sr. and Luella Allen in Houston Texas at home by a mid-wife, he was the baby of ten children. At the age of twelve a local auto shop and junk yard owner taught him how to fix cars from bodywork to engines. LJ loved fixing things and helping people stay afloat. As a teen he moved across the country to California where he fathered children and married his forever love Kathy Jenkins. Lloyd lived in California until December 2020 when he became ill and needed to be cared for by family, bringing him to Tulsa Oklahoma. Lloyd was proud of his greatest accomplishment , His family. Any and everyone who would lend an ear learned about his family. He was strong mentally, physically and spiritually. His presence was larger than life. Lloyd was a comedian moonlighting as an artistic auto mechanic who loved life to the fullest, singing and dancing every chance he got. He was self taught and well traveled. He had an ability to find happiness in the simplest pleasures of life. His pleasant personality was contagious, he never met a stranger as he touched many lives more than he ever knew. If someone needed anything all they had to do was ask and he would graciously help out the kindness of his heart and never wanted anything in return. Lloyd passed away on March 28, 2021 at the age of 75 (or as he would say 19)after a courageous battle with congestive heart failure, he was surrounded by loved ones.
