Richard Lee Northcott

Richard Lee Northcott Jr Richard Lee Northcott Jr, known to many as "Richard Lee" or Rich, born on September 20, 1964 to parents Richard and Dona Northcott passed away on Sunday April 19 2015. Rich was a loving son, brother, and uncle. He was the eldest of three children, he was a caring older brother who looked out for his siblings Henry and Carri. He was a man of many talents. He was a skilled artist, a wonderful storyteller, a talented chef, and a fan of sarcasm. Rich loved animals and he was known for having a huge heart. He was a well known traveler, moving from Tulsa to Fairbanks Alaska, to Maui, Seattle and back again to Alaska finally settling back down in Tulsa. He would visit His family every couple of years and they remember all the trips to the Tulsa Zoo and the Aquarium. Rich loved to take pictures of everything. He had an eye for beauty. He would spend all day at the zoo because he took the time to look at everything. Even though it hadn't changed since the last time he was there. He always wrote to his family while he was away. Melynie remembers countless emails from "tundrarex" telling about his many adventures and asking questions about everything. She and him were pen pals and wrote each other often until he moved back to Tulsa in 2013. Rich had a sense of humor that most people didn't understand. He was always making people laugh with his random jokes. He always had an opinion and he wasn't scared to let anyone hear it. He and his sister Carri would spend hours reminiscing about their childhoods while enjoying Rich's moonshine. After his mothers passing, Rich took care of his father Richard until his death. He and Richard spent their days keeping the yard looking nice and watching television. They would also spend time with Carri and her son Jakob. He and Richard would also drive to Tahlequah to visit Melynie and Jessica. Richard Lee is proceeded in death by his mother Dona "Punkin" Northcott, and his brother Patrick "Henry" Northcott. He will be greatly missed by his father Richard Northcott, sister Carri Kellam Northcott, Sister in law Debbie Piper Northcott, nieces Melynie Northcott, Amber Northcott, and Jessica Northcott and nephews Matthew Northcott and Jakob Kellam. Memorial services will be held at Serenity Funeral Home and Crematory, 4170 E. Admiral Pl. Tulsa, Friday May 1, 2015 at 1pm.
