Patricia Marie Felix

Patricia Marie Felix, age 68 of Talihina, Ok, passed away March 23, 2023 in her home. She left behind her only and favorite son, Lawrence Che McLemore, her smart daughter, Tonya Felix, and her child most like herself, Danielle Felix. She also left behind her two cherished cats and several uncompleted crochet projects. Danielle’s been waiting on a blanket for 2 years. She is survived by her remaining sister and favorite arguing partner, Barbara Jones, a close 2nd favorite sparring partner is Bobby Jones, her brother in law. She is preceded in death by her two brothers, Lawrence McLemore, Ronald McLemore, and her much beloved parents, Daniel, and Barbara McLemore. Our father, Anibal Felix is also in heaven, I’m sure she’ll say a quick hi to him. Pat was born in Chicago, Il. on August 31, 1954. She moved with her parents and children to Stilwell, OK in 1976. During the bus trip from Chicago to Oklahoma, is when Tonya’s motion sickness was discovered, nothing like a 2yr old throwing up nonstop for 24hrs on a bus. Those that knew her, knew that she loved to laugh and was always quick to smile. We miss her smile! We kids knew we lost our “favorite status”, when her grandkids and niece and nephew came along. She really loved her grandchildren, Justin, Trista, and Tara, and her niece and nephew, Marie and Benny. This past year she met her beautiful great granddaughter, Alora, and got to see pictures of her handsome great grandson, Kamden. She thought they were the most beautiful great grandchildren ever. While our mom had her struggles, she had some great accomplishments, mainly raising 3 outstanding children, but also maintaining her sobriety for over 35 years. Her sobriety enabled her to be an amazing substance abuse counselor and technician. She worked in a substance abuse facility until she retired in 2021. When we were growing up, we used to tease my mom that her two favorite things were getting lost in a tv show or eating at the Walmart snack bar. If we ever lost her in Walmart we knew exactly where to find her, at the yarn section or snack bar getting a polish sausage. Mom, we hope you are in heaven, reunited with your parents and brothers, crocheting all the pretty blankets, and watching all the best movies while eating a polish sausage.
