Nadine Byers

June 15, 1933 - July 7, 2012 Biography Nadine Wilson was born on June 15, 1933 in Weleetka, Oklahoma to James Wilson and Eliza Reece. Nadine graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1952. She married Charles. C. Evans, Sr. (deceased) and to this union came Charles C. Evans Jr. and Vanessa Joy Evans. Later, she married Leslie Byers (deceased) and to this union came DeJuan Byers. Nadine accepted Christ at a young age and was a faithful member at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church and later Paradise Baptist Church. She spent most of her life serving others. She was a true servant; seeking only to make the lives of others easier. She loved to give and would go out of her way to help those in need. She would give you her very last to make sure you had what you needed. Often referred to as “Deanie,” she loved to fish, cook, and garden. She loved to be around her family and friends and it didn’t have to be a holiday to get an invite. When you met “Deanie,” you were instantly family. She greeted everyone into her home with a smile and home-cooked meal. “Deanie” also loved to dress… she stayed sharp! No matter where she went, she always had on a suit with the hat, gloves, stockings, shoes, and purse to match! She was a beauty… both inside and out. Evans, Jr.; Brothers – Maceo, JB, and Roy; Sisters – Mary (Bet), Lucille, Dorothy, and Ruby; Brother-in-laws – Richard Shelton and Otis Brumfield She leaves beautiful memories to: Daughter – Vanessa Evans-Hawkins of Edmond, OK; Son – DeJuan Byers (LaRonda) of Dallas, TX; Brothers – Charlie “Shot” Wilson of Lacey, Washington, John “Crip” Wilson and Leon Wilson (Annie) both of Tulsa, OK; Grandchildren – Teyana, Tekoya (Kieran “Joshua”), Chadd, Kweisa, Chazz, Danielle, Talela, Clarence and Alexis; Great Grandchildren – Christian, Kylee, Kayvion, Serenity, Kobe, and Timothy; God-Daughter – Iciss Tillis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
