Marie Lorraine Jones

April 23, 1955 - July 27, 2012 Biography Marie “Lorraine” Jones, age 57 of Hulbert, Oklahoma, passed away from this life on Friday July 27, 2012. She was born to the late Lily and Harry Wing on April 23, 1955. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her sister, Cherokee and her brother Harry. She was survived by a huge loving family which consists of her husband, Bobby Lynn Jones of Hulbert, her children: Sondra Hair of Tahlequah, Bobby Lynn Jones Jr. of Muskogee, and Melissa and Brent Lamons of Hulbert, as well as her grandchildren and great-grand child. Included in this list of family is a special mother-in-law; Ruby Jones of Muskogee as well as many other loved ones. Lorraine married the love of her life, Bobby Jones, on October 24th, 1970 at the age of 15. In their 42 years of marriage they brought three children into the world; Sondra, Bobby Lynn, and Melissa “Sis”. They were blessed with eight grand children; Felicia, Brett, Brandon, Cara, Emmily, Kaylon, Robert, and Lynly. They also had one great-grandchild; Carly. Lorraine was a woman who will be defined not by what she “was” but by what she “did”. She was a woman who always put others ahead of herself and always focused on what she could do to help others. She was a miracle worker when it came to children. She believed in making children behave and no matter the punishment for not behaving, the children always wanted to be near her. They knew they were in the presence of someone who truly cared and loved them. Her main focus in life was her family. She was a woman whom everyone could depend on. She would give and give until she had nothing else to give…and then give a little more. She loved nothing more than simply putting a smile on someone’s face. She will be remembered by so many of her actions; from making homemade gifts and taking care of sick friends, to opening up her home and taking care of children. But most of all she will be remembered by the love she displayed throughout her life here on Earth.
