Larry Ray Mussman, 79, fell asleep in death on June 20, 2023, at his home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He was born January 31,1944, in Guymon, Oklahoma. Larry was the eighth child of fifteen children, born to Fred Albert and Pearl Lahoma Mussman. Larry made his home in Buffalo, Oklahoma, where his four children were born. In about 1985, he moved to San Jose, California. In 2006, Larry relocated to the Tulsa area to be closer to family. He worked as a certified automotive repair technician for over 35 years. After retiring, he spent more time restoring classic vehicles, helping his brothers with their classic vehicles, supporting family and friends as a wonderful handyman, in addition to helping others in his volunteer ministry. Family and friends frequently describe Larry as very mild and kind, with an amazing ability to put others at ease. His dedication and love of his God and family, his strength of character and values, were admired by those that knew him. Larry was a man of his word ~ a humble man ~ a very sincere man ~ a very good man! Survivors include four children, Tisha Burnside of Weatherford, Oklahoma; Brad Mussman of Buffalo, Oklahoma; Rodney Mussman and Becky Blank of Rowlett, Texas; and Jeffery Mussman and wife Melody of Yukon, Oklahoma. Larry is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Austin, Dillon, Zachary, Bradley, Randall, Kendra, Courtney, Kimberly, Josey, Blake and Greyson; and twelve great grandchildren, Addison, Rosalie, Theodore, Easton, Rylee, Oaklyn, Tegan, Westlyn, Brixton, Taylen, Eric and Ian; and twelve brothers and sisters, Henry Mussman of Hooker, Oklahoma; Ida Mae Hitchcock of Independence, Missouri; Dorothy Johnson of Wichita, Kansas; David Mussman of Fort Worth, Texas; Loren Mussman and wife Sue of Amarillo, Texas; Emmy Garcia and husband Frank of New Braunfels, Texas; Cathy Shannon of Collinsville, Oklahoma; Richard Mussman of El Dorado Hills, California; Lee Mussman and wife Zari of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Dareld Mussman and wife Beverly of Bixby, Oklahoma; Jerald Mussman and wife Michele of Collinsville, Oklahoma; sister-in-law JoAnne Mussman of Atlanta, Texas; Stan Mussman and wife Andrea of Linwood, North Carolina; and twenty-seven nieces and nephews. Larry is preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law Kirk Burnside, his sister Mary Ann Mussman and brother Dwight Mussman and three nephews. On June 7, 1975, Larry was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. As a member of the South Congregation in Broken Arrow, he actively shared his faith with many in the community. His hope of living in a world free of the challenges we now see was something he treasured and shared with others. Even though this is a sad time, our hearts are full of hope and appreciation. We are thankful for the hope of the resurrection (John 11:23-25; Acts 24:15) and seeing Larry healthy and vibrant again in the new world that Jehovah promises to all (Psalm 37:9-11, 29; Matthew 5:5; Revelation 21:3-5). Visitation will be 3pm to 8pm Wednesday June 28, 2023 at Serenity Funerals and Cremation Chapel. Memorial Service will be 2pm Saturday July 8, 2023 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Congregation South - Broken Arrow, 2200 S 1st Place, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma 74012.
