Guadalupe Irma Lee

Guadalupe Irma Lee, age 77 passed this life on October 2, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on November 12, 1942 in Brownsville, Texas to her parents Eluterio Ruiz and Maria (Eduivgues) Ruiz. Guadalupe has spent 31 years with the love of her life, Benny Lee. She always made sure to try and put Benny first in everything. She wanted to know that he was always taken care of. They had such a strong and defining love. Guadalupe was known as a woman that was outspoken, determined, and hard working. She had a heart of gold. Her favorite color was purple and she loved butterflies, dragonflies and angels. In her free time she enjoyed watching the birds and also had a passion for flowers and plants, she was blessed with a green thumb. While she was able, she enjoyed spending her time going to the parks and the botanical gardens. She would cherish the time that she would sit around the dining table in the mornings with her children, drinking coffee and just visiting with one another. Guadalupe enjoyed watching TV shows including I Love Lucy, The Andy Griffin Show, and Green Acres, just naming a few. She loved watching these shows with Benny. There was never a day that would go by that she wouldn't watch her Spanish stories. Guadalupe loved her cat Blue dearly; he was such a huge part of her family. As Guadalupe would say to her children, please be kind to one another. She is preceded in death by her parents Eluterio Ruiz and Maria (Eduivgues) Ruiz and sister Lily Darrough. Guadalupe is survived by her spouse Benny Lee; children Albert Joe, Lupe, Milissa, Lawrence, Elaine and Leticia; siblings Joe Ruiz and Maria Polhamus; grandchildren Carlos Soto, Albert Soto, Megan Palma, Rico Soto, Wayne Hoover, Crystal Hoover, Zac Soto, Ryan Soto, Rene Williams, Michael Wiygul, James Wiygul, Jorge Garcia, Michael Garcia, Isaac Garcia, Carston H. Williams, and Samuel Soto; great grandchildren Ellie Wiygul and Sunny Garcia; along with many other family members and friends who love her dearly and will forever cherish her memory. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 from 1pm-7pm at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service in honor of Guadalupe will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 1pm at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. M. R. Phillips, Sr., Associate Minister of Vision Family Ministries, Tulsa, OK officiating. Services are under the direction of Serenity Funerals and Crematory in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
