Gloria Marlene Ringle

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Gloria M. Ringle, who departed this life peacefully at her home on the ranch in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at the age of 85. Gloria was born on January 13, 1940, in Marion, Ohio, to her loving parents, Carrol and Viola (Anthony) Plumley, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Marvin Ringle, and her siblings: Elmer “Bud” Plumley (Doris), Duane Plumley (Virginia), Ed Plumley (Caroline), and Roberta Hill (Bill). She is survived by her devoted children: Alan Ringle (Susan), Adam Ringle (Kim), and Karen Quinn (Al), as well as her cherished grandchildren: Mark (Brittany), Dietrich, Aaron (Kaylee), Annika (Charlie), Paige (Sean), Erik (Abby), and Ryan (Jamie). She was also blessed with six great-grandchildren: Addison, Jace, Palmer, Parker, Theodore, Oliver, and Lyle. Gloria is further survived by her loving siblings, John Plumley (Colleen), Jerry Plumley, and Judy Scheff, along with numerous nieces and nephews. A Life of Faith and Family Gloria was a devoted woman of faith, baptized into Christ at the age of 21, and remained steadfast in her beliefs throughout her life. As the guiding light and matriarch of her family, she lived by example, always demonstrating faith, kindness, and love. Over the years, she was an active member of several congregations, including Marion, Ohio Church of Christ (1960s), Kenton, Ohio Church of Christ (1970s), Sand Springs Church of Christ (1980s–2025), and Memorial Drive (Tulsa) Church of Christ (2010s). Talents, Work, and Passion Gloria had a deep love for music and was a gifted tenor singer who cherished a cappella congregational singing at church and home. She was also an accomplished organ player, performing publicly in the late 1960s and early 1970s at community events and continuing to share her gift with family well into her 70s. Gloria and Marvin displayed incredible determination and craftsmanship from a young age, building their first home at just 18 years old. Together, they continued to build and remodel several homes throughout their lives, culminating in constructing their dream log home on their ranch in 2000. Gloria’s professional life was equally remarkable. She worked in banking, manufacturing, and interior design, excelling in sales while also managing the family businesses. In the 1960s through the early 1980s, she and Marvin owned and operated a successful 20-acre strawberry farm in Ohio, where they instilled the values of hard work and dedication in their family. Later, in 1988, they founded Playpark by DiMarc, a custom wooden playground equipment manufacturing company based in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. For 20 years, they built and installed playgrounds across multiple states, bringing joy to countless children and families. A Legacy of Love Gloria was known for her smile, laugh, kindness, wisdom, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who touched the lives of all who knew her. Her legacy of love, faith, and resilience will continue to inspire those she leaves behind. A Celebration of Life will be held on March 8, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Sand Springs Church of Christ, with lunch to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sand Springs Church of Christ. Gloria’s love and strength will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with her loved ones and in the presence of God.
