Gail Diane Criswell entered Heaven on September 22, 2019 in Wagoner, Oklahoma. She was born on August 20, 1939 in St. Louis, Missouri to her parents Homer Davis and Agnes Ruth (Woodson) Davis. Gail was known for her loving spirit, warm smile and always making people laugh. She knew how to take a house and make it a home full of love, laughter and happiness. On December 31, 1955, Gail married William K. Criswell and spent a lifetime of happiness with him. In a true love story, during a meeting only by chance, two people from separate parts of the United States met and fell in love. The two spent 63 wonderful years together. There were mountains that they climbed together, brought 7 wonderful children into the world and although the mountains were steep and the valleys were low, William and Gail were always by each others side, no matter what. They faced everyday problems, but never let anything kill their spirit, or their love for each other. As William and Gail always said at bedtime "no matter what, no matter the distance, momma loves daddy and daddy loves momma, God bless". Gail was preceded in death by her parents Homer and Ruth Davis, siblings Betty Jarrell, Dorothy Hendrickson, Ruthie Davis, Homer Davis Jr., also known as June, Bobby Davis, Lloyd Davis, Jim Davis, and Eugene Davis, and her son Jeffery Allen Criswell. She is survived by her husband of 63 years William K. Criswell, children William K. Criswell, also known as Chris, and his wife Gwynn, Brenda Criswell-Jimenez, Lisa Criswell-Appleton, Karen Criswell-McNatt and her husband JD. John Mark Criswell and his wife Gail, James Michael Criswell and his wife Marsha and Daughter in law Tina Bell Criswell. Grandchildren Heath Criswell, Kristin Lotts, Patrick Jimenez, Willliam Cory Jimenez, Ryan Pena, Mercedes Pena, Chelsea Appleton, Briana Appleton, Tammy Gilbert, Amanda Ayenson, Katie McNatt, Shellbi Malley, Codie McNatt, Bradley Criswell, Mandie Bell Criswell, Karissa Burnside, Megan Criswell, Brandie Criswell, T.J. Criswell, Stephanie Criswell, Jake Criswell, Kevin Osburn, Felicia Osburn and Sabrina Criswell. A host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Along with many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly. Services are under the direction of Serenity Funerals and Crematory in Tulsa, Oklahoma. There will be a funeral service in honor of Gail's legacy on Friday September 27, 2019 at 2:00pm at the First Assembly of God located at 1998 Ok-51 Wagoner, Oklahoma 74467. There will be a visitation prior to the service at 10:00am.
