Dolores Ballard

Dolores Ballard, age 78, passed this life on Sunday, April 18, 2021 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on Monday, February 15, 1943 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to her parents John Moreno and Olivia (Franko) Moreno. Dolores was an individual with such a bright personality. You would almost never catch her frowning. She seldom had a down day. She was always taking on the day with a big smile on her face. Her happiness and smile would radiate in any room. Dolores enjoyed her life as a homemaker where she was able to take care of all the ones she loved, including her husband Vernon Ballard, whom she spent her life with since the age of fifteen. She loved her family, and being a homemaker was her way of making sure she was always there for all of the loving and exciting memories. Dolores made sure that whoever walked into her home did not walk out without a full belly. She had a true passion for cooking and always made sure everyone around her had something to eat. Dolores has been an avid member of the Saint Peter and Paul Church for many years. Some of her hobbies include sewing, crocheting, playing bunko, and playing bingo. Dolores was a member of the Red Hat Society, and did swim lessons at the YMCA. She was active in her community and loved others dearly. She was a light in so many lives and will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her daughter Savina Prado; both her parents; 2 brothers; and 3 sisters. Dolores is survived by her husband Vernon P. Ballard; daughter Christina Ballard-Barron; grandchildren Maria and Matt Stout, Jesus Jr. and Meagan Barron, Melissa Fitzpatrick, Jessica Omar, and Vannissa Prada; great grandchildren Breanna Cambell, Jensen Stout, Harper Stout, Alina Lozano, Alonzo Lozano, Lennox Barron, Sloan Barron, Malaya, and Adian; along with many other family members and friends. A visitation will be held for Dolores on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Serenity Funeral Home from 5PM - 8PM. The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021 at Serenity Funeral Home at 1PM with burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be a reception to follow the burial back at Serenity Funeral Home.
