David Jock Jones

David J Jones, “Jonesy”, went to heaven to meet his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on July 21, 2024 He was born August 27, 1948 in San Diego. He graduated from Crawford High School & studied at Grossmont College, in San Diego, where he lived his younger years. In the 70’s he traveled and played in the Alpine Band at many places which included Old Town in San Diego, Catalina Island, Mammoth Mountain, and Lake Tahoe, along with his former wife Nancy. He later returned to San Diego and worked in the construction field. Then he moved to Texas with his son Mason who was in the army, and then he transplanted to Sand Springs, Oklahoma. He worked & retired at Creek County 2003-2020. David was an active member at his church SHBC and Celebrate Recovery in Tulsa,OK. He was also Regional Team Lead South-Central Region at Celebrate Recovery Inside Prisons and Jails. Former Probation Officer at Probation Officer Human Skills & Resources, Former Academy Manager at Dick Conner Corr Ctr at Prison Fellowship, Former Training Coach, Ambassador Coach at Celebrate Recovery SHBC Tulsa, National Editor at Celebrate Recovery Inside Newsletter, he also volunteered with the our family playing gospel music on Friday nights during dinner hour at Greentree assisted living in Sand Springs. He loved Jesus, family, his dogs, photography, music, and volunteering his life when possible. He is preceded in death by his father & mother, David C & Isabella Jones, brother Rusty and Rusty’s sons Travis & Tommy, sister Tammy Jones, bro-in-laws Larry Deason & Bob Rose, his ex-wife Libby, and his dog Oscar. David’s children are Kimberley (Don)Quach and their children Allison & Madison. Son, Brian Kyriss Griffin & his 3 children Tabitha, William & Jillian. Son, Mason Jones, his 2 sons Diego Moreno & Cameron Armstrong. His 2 beloved dogs, Rusty & Izzy. Living siblings are Marie (Ron) Newman, Tommy (Donna) Cuscito, Bobby (Patty) Jones, Sandi Deason & Debbie Jones. Nephews & Nieces: Tom Cuscito, Lisa (Bobby)Kelly, Tony (Steph) Newman, Danny Ochoa, Terese (Steve) McKay, Michael (Elise)Newman ,Michelle (Ron) Kidwell, Brandon (Cari) Jones, Nicole (Dave) Becker, Jennifer (Daniel) Sharp, Josh (Staci)Jones, Nathan Jones, Cody (Ashton)Jones, Larry Deason Jr, Jena (Mike) Nelson, Becca (Mike) Johnson, Rachel Deason, Tami (Cory) Miller, Justine (Cameron) Young, Hannah (James) Ornelas and all of their children and many cousins.
